San José del Cabo · Baja California Sur

Raised under
the mango trees.

Farm-fresh eggs, poultry and real farm visits — collected by hand in San José del Cabo and delivered across Los Cabos.

The farm

A working farm, minutes from the airport.

Orchard sits in the the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of San José del Cabo — minutes from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). The birds live outdoors beneath decades-old mango trees, in the shade and moving air those trees make on an otherwise dry piece of Baja California Sur.

We mill our own feed on site, collect the eggs by hand, and drive them across Los Cabos ourselves. A short chain, nobody in the middle — and it is open to anyone who wants to come and look at it.

Our story
A carton of Orchard eggs in soft sage, olive and cream, held up in the orchard.
The eggs

Sage, powder blue, russet, cream.

Our hens lay in their own natural range of colours. The pale blue-greens come from the araucanas in the flock, the deep russets from the marans. Nothing is dyed, and nothing gets sorted out for looking different.

Collected by hand each morning, packed by the dozen or by the tray, and priced on the day — because the flock does not lay to a schedule.

Orchard's laying flock in warm late-afternoon light, one russet hen turned toward the camera.
Animal care

The birds are outside, under the trees, all day.

Why Orchard

No certificates. Just the farm, and what we actually do on it.

  • Raised in San José del Cabo

The birds live outdoors under decades-old mango trees on our farm in San José del Cabo — shade, airflow and room to move.

  • Feed milled on the farm

We formulate and mill our own feed: corn, wheat bran, soybean meal, scratch grains, and herbs and spices including ginger, turmeric, garlic, onion and oregano.

  • Raised without added hormones

No hormones are added at any point, and no artificial additives or preservatives go into the feed we make.

  • Collected by hand

Eggs are gathered and sorted by hand, which is why the shells arrive in their natural range of browns, creams and pale blue-greens.

  • A short local supply chain

From the nesting box to your kitchen is a single short trip across Los Cabos — no distributor, no warehouse, no long haul.

  • You can come and see it

The farm is open to families and school groups by appointment. Very few food producers can say that, and we think it matters.

The feed

We make what they eat.

Corn, wheat bran, soybean meal and scratch grains, with ginger, turmeric, garlic, onion and oregano — formulated and pelleted here on the farm rather than bought in.

It is the one input that changes everything downstream, so we would rather hold it ourselves. No added hormones, nothing artificial in the mix.

Farm experience

Come and collect your own.

Families and school groups spend a guided morning here — meeting the chicks, walking the growing and laying areas, reaching into the nesting boxes, watching the mill run, and talking about how the birds are looked after.

By appointment, and every child leaves with eggs they collected themselves.

Hospitality

On the best tables in Los Cabos.

Hotels, restaurants, villas and private chefs work with us on standing weekly orders — house eggs, speciality coloured eggs and whole poultry, packed the way the kitchen wants them.

We also build custom poultry programmes for properties that would rather produce on their own land, and run technical visits for teams already keeping birds.
